Franklinton Arts District and Gravity are seeking to uplift Franklinton’s creative community while engaging visitors to their newest facility on State St. through the creation and exhibition of new artwork by local artists. Selected artists will create 2 pieces of artwork to be displayed for a duration of three months throughout 2023. Additionally, artists will work collaboratively with artist Ariel Peguero to bring their work to life via augmented reality. Lastly, all artwork will be available for purchase and 100% of the proceeds will go to the selected artist. If artwork is not purchased, artists will receive all remaining pieces at the conclusion of the viewing time frame.

This new Call for Artists will award almost $25,000 in paid artist opportunities.​​

  • 2 - 5' 11" x 5' 6" Pieces of Commissioned Artwork  
  • Artist Compensation: $800/each; $1600/both 
  • 1 Opportunity each quarter ; 4 total

G2-2

  • 2 - 5' x 5' Pieces of Commissioned Artwork 
  • Artist Compensation: $625/each; $1250/both
  • 2 Opportunities each quarter​; 8 total
