SHOW STATEMENT
"Research Chemicals," is an exhibition featuring the works of the Fine Arts junior class at CCAD. This show is the culmination of the hard work and dedication of these emerging artists, who have invested countless hours in exploring their personal studio practice and creative process.
In the Fine Arts Studio Intensive class and under the guidance of their instructor, Dana Lynn Harper, these students have been encouraged to push the boundaries of their chosen medium, to experiment with new techniques, and to delve deep into their individual concepts and themes. The result is a vibrant and diverse collection of works that showcases the unique voices and perspectives of each artist.
The title of the exhibition, "Research Chemicals," speaks to the serious practice of exploration and examination that these students have undertaken in their artistic endeavors. Each work on display is the product of extensive research and experimentation, as the artists have tested and refined their materials, techniques, and ideas to create something truly thought-provoking. From painting to sculpture, collage to installation, "Research Chemicals" is a celebration of the diverse talents and interests of the Fine Arts junior class at CCAD.
Some of the artists can be found on social media here: Lucy Morrison @Starboy.Accessories, Marceline Elaine Marcelane @mirroedmotionmarce, Cait Miller @Caitisch
