CALL FOR ART: ALLOY ARTSPACES
Applications are live for two ALLOY ArtSpaces projects currently underway in Franklinton. We are looking for artists to submit images of existing large scale art (4x4 and larger) to populate a permanent collection as well as proposals for new murals, to be completed before year’s end. Those artists who live and work in the greater Columbus, Ohio area are encouraged to apply.
Residential Complex. Call for existing and/or new large artworks. Prices vary, starting at $250 (multiple artists). Project ongoing, ends 12/31/2023.

Experience Park. Call for muralists to paint (exterior) space in Franklinton. $750 per project (up to 6 artists). Project begins immediately, ends 11/23/2023.

ANNOUNCING NEW BOARD MEMBERS
Franklinton Arts District is pleased to announce the appointment of three distinguished professionals to its Board of Trustees. These accomplished individuals will bring their expertise and vision to help guide the company's strategic direction:
Blake Compton
Business developer, marketing strategist, and preconstruction manager are only a few titles outlining the avenues used by Blake to lead the charge in building a better Columbus. With his passion for the neighborhood and meaningful connections, Blake will work to bring structure and accountability to the Board.
Mary Sundermeier
A creative thinker who loves seeking solutions using communication and marketing technology, Mary brings the perspective of the Gravity Brand to the FAD Board. With an enthusiasm for turning ideas into reality, Mary will guide the board on event planning and connecting the District with new residents in the area.
Emily Oilar
Strategic planning is a passion, collaboration is a way of life, and fiscal management is her unique contribution to the Franklinton Arts District. Emily’s joy in serving as a Board member comes from her commitment to improving non-profit management using her Public Policy and Management background. Emily will lead the organization’s transition to new bookkeeping and fiscal reconciliation in the new year.
Franklinton Arts District is excited to have Blake, Mary, and Emily join our Board of Trustees. Their extensive knowledge and diverse backgrounds make them valuable additions to our leadership team, and we look forward to their contributions in shaping the future of the arts in Franklinton.
